Merry Christmas
In Alaska, the holidays are always covered in white,
furnaces run all night long, the wind howls like a wolf, and the beer is always cold.
Happy Holidays!
With the winter holiday right upon us, Mr. B. and I would like to extend our best wishes to you and your family. May the holiday bring you joy, laughter and many smiles.
The other day Mr. B. skied out and gathered some fallen branches in the woods. All bundled together, the branches resemble a tree. It is fun decorating the tree with all sorts of interesting stuff, from handmade ornaments to tied on pieces of fabric. It is quite a site! Many folks have visited us in the past and bluntly asked “what is that?” We just reply, “it our tree.” Although quirky, building a ‘tree’ is our tradition. This simple tradition makes our holiday special.
Shakin’ things up on the holidays is fun too. This year Mr. B.and I have decided to make a beer on Christmas Day. We will be brewing a Russian Imperial Stout. The big, rich, full body of this stout will definitely add to the holiday spirit.
Enjoy your winter holiday with some old traditions and maybe even some new ones.
Cheers!
I totally DIG the tree! Merry Christmas!
